We’re excited to introduce you to the practices of yoga and pilates! If this is your first class, please let your instructor know so they can provide modifications and guidance to help make your experience more comfortable and enjoyable.
If you’re dealing with an injury or recovering from one, we recommend consulting with a healthcare professional before starting. Please inform your instructor prior to class so they can adjust the session to accommodate your needs.
-
We recommend wearing light, comfortable clothing that allows for movement and flexibility. Choose fabrics that breathe to help you stay cool and comfortable during your practice.
Be sure to bring a water bottle and towel for your session.
Yoga and pilates are practiced barefoot, so there’s no need for shoes.
For Reformer Pilates grip socks are recommended for safety and hygiene.
-
While we don’t offer dedicated prenatal classes, we recommend consulting with your doctor before starting yoga or pilates during pregnancy, especially if you're new to either practice.
If you’ve been practicing yoga or pilates prior to pregnancy, it’s generally safe to continue, provided you have medical clearance from your healthcare provider.
-
Both yoga and pilates can be beneficial for healing and overall well-being. However, if you're dealing with a specific injury, we strongly recommend consulting with a healthcare professional to ensure it's safe for you to practice.
In our experience, intense yoga or pilates may not be suitable if you're currently in pain or recovering from an injury. It’s important to listen to your body and adapt your practice accordingly.
